We are currently recruiting a passionate and enthusiastic Deputy Manager for our lovely 40 place nursery in Kings Heath.

This is a full time role and the right applicant must be able to work between the hours of 7.30am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday on a shift basis.
If you are hard working, reliable and enjoy working with children then you will love being part of our team.
You must have a minimum of a relevant Level 3 childcare qualification and have previous senior nursery nurse/supervisory/deputy manager experience.
The ideal person will have a sound knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding procedures.
Paediatric first aid is desirable.
Your Role as Deputy Manager will include;
• Promoting positive relationships with parents, children and your team.
• Overseeing the running of the nursery in the absence of the manager and being a key holder responsible for opening and locking up.
• Ensuring the health, safety and well being of the children at all times.
• Being a positive role model in order to lead your staff team to deliver high quality care and education throughout the nursery.
• Supporting the nursery manager with office based tasks, to include invoicing, finances, enquiries, recruitment and marketing.
You will need to be able to;
• work using your own initiative
• demonstrate excellent communications skills to enable you to motivate, manage and inspire your team.

  • You will be working with children aged 0 – 5 years.
  • You will be third in charge and at times be responsible for managing the nursery.
  • You will be a key holder, have key children and also be a room leader.
    You must have a sound knowledge of the EYFS and Child Protection/safeguarding procedures and enjoy working with children.
